I came here because I was starving all day and decided that I wonder if I should have some pizza. I had a canceled meeting in the afternoon and it was supposed to be at a pizza place so this is the consolation prize. But in actuality this place is amazing and the pizza is pretty darn good. I decided to get a pepperoni slice and I must say I love when the pepperoni is crispy and the cheese is gooey. This had all of the elements that I enjoy the most and I'll definitely be back. This is located and the same as trip as the Starbucks and the Randolph's pastry bakery which I did go to afterwards. The bakery is a bonus and after the amazing pizza, this was a great treat to have afterwards. I came in the afternoon and it wasn't that crowded. My only regret is that I didn't get an entire pie so I could have leftovers to take home. Lesson learned and I'll definitely get a whole pie next time. They also offer some snacks to go with your pizza that are ready available at the counter!
Got a grandma style pizza and a ny style pizza--highly recommend the grandma style and skip the ny style! Grandma style pizza was delicious and hearty but ny style was pretty sad and lacking. I didn't even take a photo of the ny style pizza lol I'd be back for more grandma style though!
Great pizza shop. Must get the grandma slice. Their sauce is Fantastic. High quality pepperoni cups. I always ask if they have a special slice that day. One time got lucky with a yummy bbq chicken and once a buffalo chicken concoction. Highly recommended.
Pretty good pizza. We got grandma style- a patriot (pepperoni with hot honey) and a margarita pizza. The pepperoni crisp up in the perfect way and the the dough is nice and chewy. It kind of looks like a deep dish style but it's really more of a pan, not a crunchy bottom although the drive home with it may have softened the crust some. I wouldn't order the margarita pizza grandma style again, because of the nature of the pie, 2 slices had no cheese. The flavor was yummy it just wasn't the right choice for the style. Would definitely get it again, probably still grandma style, extra cheese, pepperoni and I'm not sure if they offer it, but ask for well done.
I'm from NY so I know my pizza. Old dominion has the best pizza in the area IMO, which is evidenced too by their many accolades. We have done the pre/set BBQ chicken pizza as our usual go to, but also enjoy the option of choosing your own toppings and making your own pie. Definitely our go to pizza spot and has never disappointed!
I always go next door to pastries by Randolph and never noticed this spot next to the cheese and wine shop, what a bum! But not anymore! Pizza is something you either perfect or butcher and these guys hit the spot! Their grandma style pizza is delish, but my favorite was the patriot. I love the honey pepper drizzle that they throw on top, it's like a nice little kick. I haven't tried any of their other pizza's but I am def going to be back!
